History of the ETHIOPIA GUJI COFFEE

The Washing Station: This dry coffee processing station is a priority for Tadele Dori's exclusive supplier. It has 15 permanent employees, and at harvest time, that number rises to 150 people.

The purchase of cherries was financed by Ephtah due to cash flow problems in the area. Ephtah donated the nets and this region will be the next target of our Ama Commitment programme.

For processing, farmers pick the cherries near the dry processing site and from the Deri kebele. The coffee is then dried at the Tadele Dori station for 13-16 days. In Addis Abeda, the coffee is stored in Moplaco, Gerji. After processing, the coffee is transported to Djibouti by train.
