In 2018, Juan Felipe acquired an abandoned farm that, for years, had been owned by traditional coffee farmers facing enormous challenges. Despite having been dormant for three years, he saw its immense potential and decided to revitalise it. Covering 380 hectares, the farm, named after his character, has become an example of innovation and sustainability.
Today, this farm is home to more than 21 exotic varieties of coffee, making it a treasure trove for speciality coffee lovers. It also has a protected nature reserve that plays a crucial role in environmental conservation. Among the species that inhabit the reserve is the Andean bear, an endangered species known for its characteristic «spectacles».
The farm is not only a centre of high quality coffee production, but also an ecological haven, with a vast forest reserve and water resources that not only sustain the families who live there, but also the nearby village.
